  I had "New Nintendo 3DS XL" handheld game console with a cracked top LCD screen. I dropped it off at CPR's 5950 Airport Highway, Toledo, OH location to have the screen replaced on 12/27/17. The employee at the counter said that he would need to speak with his supervisor (who would conduct the repair) before he could provide a price quote, but was confident the repair could be made. He assured me that if the repair was unsuccessful, I would not be charged. I left my contact information with this employee, who said that he would be able to speak with his supervisor the next day and would call me with a price quote. I never received any calls, so on 12/30/17 I called and was told by the employee that he had still been unable to obtain a price quote. On 01/02/18, I called again and was finally given a quote of $85 (a good price; a manufacturer's repair costs more than $100). On 01/05/18, I picked up my device, saw that the screen replacement had been successful, and paid the repair fee. Unfortunately, upon reaching home, I found that the touch screen and Home button were no longer registering input - issues which the device had not been experiencing prior to repair. I attempted to call several times between 10:00 and 11:00 AM the next morning and received no answer. Ultimately, I called another CPR location based nearby at 5236 Monroe Street, also in Toledo. The technician who I spoke with at this location assured me that he could conduct the necessary repair himself, and that I would not be subject to any additional fees per the original repair agreement. I brought my device to the Monroe Street location later that afternoon (01/06/18), and the technician estimated that the work should only take about thirty minutes. I then waited for nearly ninety minutes before he came back out to explain that the issue was more in-depth than initially judged, and that he would need to keep my device for an additional one to two weeks while ordering in the necessary replacement parts. He assured me that he would keep me up-to-date via phone as the repair progressed, and I departed. After nearly two weeks passed with no contact, I called the Monroe Street location back on 01/19/18. The technician explained that he had needed to order in still more parts, estimating that the repair would be finished sometime in the next week. I called back again on 01/29/18, and this time the technician told me that work had just been completed on my device and that I could pick it up that day. Upon pickup, I was told that while CPR had needed to perform a software reset, I should be able to reload all of my data from the system's SD card. I tested the buttons and touch screen to ensure everything was in working order, then took it home. However, I discovered still more problems - while the touch screen and Home button functioned, the device's 3D and volume sliders no longer did. I took the device back in to the Monroe Street location one last time on 01/31/2018, and the technician was able to resolve the remaining issues on the spot. After more than a month, the system now functions perfectly. While CPR's staff are very friendly and accommodating, and they were sincerely apologetic with regards to the issues I experienced, I would advise thoroughly testing every aspect of your device before taking it home after a repair.
